OUR METHODOLOGY

Growth isn't about doing more. It's about choosing the right change.

Every business has more opportunities for improvement than it has the time, budget, or capacity to pursue. The challenge is figuring out which opportunity deserves priority.

Leverage Now's methodology takes a holistic look at your business to identify what's most limiting performance, compare opportunities, and help leadership decide where to focus resources first.

Rather than delivering a list of ideas, we define a clear priority, explain why it matters, estimate its potential impact, and outline how to move forward.

Your business is a system. Results depend on how the pieces work together.

Growth doesn't depend on any single function. A company's ability to generate revenue and protect profitability comes from the interaction between customer acquisition, conversion, operations, and customer relationships.

That's why we assess four areas that directly influence business performance.

  • 01

    Attract

Is your business generating qualified demand at a sustainable cost?

We examine how your business attracts prospective customers, which channels contribute to acquisition, and whether your investments are generating the right kind of demand to support growth.

What we assess: Lead volume and quality, acquisition channels, and marketing investment efficiency.

  • 02

    Convert

Is demand turning into revenue efficiently?

We examine your sales process to understand where opportunities stall, what affects conversion, and how pricing and average deal size influence results.

What we assess: Conversion rates, sales processes, average deal size, and sales performance.

  • 03

    Deliver

Can your business scale without compromising quality or profit margins?

We assess whether your operational capacity can keep pace with demand and whether your processes allow you to deliver what you've sold efficiently and profitably.

What we assess: Delivery capacity, operating costs, processes, and profit margins.

  • 04

    Retain

Do customers stay, come back, and generate more value over time?

We examine customer relationships to identify revenue leakage, opportunities for repeat purchases, and ways to grow revenue from existing customers.

What we assess: Customer retention, repeat purchases, revenue expansion, and referrals.

The goal isn't to improve everything at once. It's to identify the changes most likely to improve business performance.

An opportunity is only worth pursuing when the risks that could undermine it are understood.

Increasing acquisition, accelerating sales, or expanding operations may have limited impact if critical risks remain unresolved. That's why our assessment also considers five factors that can constrain growth or leave your business vulnerable.

  • Key Person

Is critical knowledge, decision-making, or customer relationships concentrated in one person whose absence could disrupt the business?

  • Key Customer

Does a significant share of revenue depend on a small number of customers, leaving the business vulnerable to losing a major account?

  • Key Channel

Does customer acquisition depend too heavily on a single channel, platform, or partner?

  • Market

Could changes in demand, competition, or market conditions undermine your growth model?

  • Data

Does your business have reliable information to understand performance, identify problems, and make informed decisions?

We factor these risks into prioritization before defining where to act. Depending on the severity of a risk, reducing a vulnerability may be more important than pursuing a new growth opportunity.

We turn scattered signals into decisions you can compare.

Identifying problems isn't enough. You need to determine which ones deserve attention first, using evidence and consistent criteria.

  • 01

    Separate Symptoms from Verifiable Problems

A statement like “sales are underperforming” doesn't tell you what needs to change. We examine the underlying process to identify where results are breaking down and what data supports that hypothesis.

  • 02

Turn the Assessment into Concrete Actions

Rather than simply noting that sales follow-up needs improvement, we might investigate whether slow lead response times are hurting conversion. When the data supports that connection, we turn the opportunity into a specific action with a measurable target.

  • 03

    Compare Three Dimensions

Every opportunity is evaluated against three criteria:

Potential Revenue Impact How much could this change contribute to business performance, based on the available evidence?

Time to Results How long might it take to implement the change and observe its effects?

Effort Required What resources, people, investment, and operational changes would be needed?

We don't treat estimates as certainties. We use these criteria to compare alternatives and make trade-offs clearer.

  • 04

    Identify the Primary Growth Lever

The goal is to identify the opportunity with the greatest potential impact, given the business context, risks, and capacity to execute.

With Leverage Unlock, we focus on one primary bottleneck.

With Leverage Board, we organize priorities across all four areas into phases, accounting for dependencies and the need for coordination across functions.

  • 05

    Turn the Decision into Action

A priority needs to move from the assessment into day-to-day operations. That's why each engagement connects initiatives to owners, goals, metrics, and a follow-up cadence appropriate to the selected solution.

It's not enough to know what could improve. You need to know what comes first, why it comes first, and how progress will be tracked.

The depth of the analysis depends on the available data and the agreed scope. When relevant information is missing, we account for that limitation before defining a priority.

Our methodology leads to a clearer decision and a defined path forward.

The process doesn't end with identifying opportunities. It determines what happens next based on your business needs.

  • During the Initial Growth Assessment

We gather initial information, identify signals of potential bottlenecks, and develop a preliminary hypothesis about what's limiting performance.

When sufficient evidence is available, this initial assessment may include an estimate of the potential financial impact.

  • During the Engagement

We investigate and validate the hypothesis using your company's data. Priorities are organized according to the selected solution, with initiatives, goals, owners, and performance metrics.

Leverage Unlock focuses on one primary bottleneck, with a 90-day action plan and support throughout the six-month engagement.

Leverage Board coordinates priorities across all four areas in phases, working alongside leadership and relevant specialists within the agreed scope.

A hypothesis isn't a conclusion. An estimate isn't a promise.

Good decisions depend on the quality of the evidence behind them.

Estimates from the initial growth assessment are preliminary hypotheses based on the available data. They are not guaranteed outcomes and do not replace validation with the company's actual information.

When the evidence is insufficient, we don't present a hypothesis as a certainty. We treat it as a question that needs to be validated.

The detailed assessment, final prioritization, and action plan are developed within the agreed scope after the relevant data has been validated.

Our responsibility is to make the criteria, priorities, and limitations of the analysis clear so leadership can make better-informed decisions.

Before deciding what to do, find out what deserves priority.
